The quote module allows you to write offers for products with customized prices, text and quantities which are then sent to the end customer.
Upon acceptance of offers, the goods can be easily transferred to an order for further processing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the quote module only for businesses?
Sure, the offer module works for everyone, but it has some limitations in terms of payment methods.
Can an end customer pay for offers via webshop/checkout?
Unfortunately, no! As of now, the offer only "delivers" in the control panel and cannot be transferred to the shopping cart in the online store.
This means that you have to use "manual" payment methods such as invoice, cash on delivery or Vipps. You can read more about Vipps as a betalingsmetode her →
Do offers affect in-store inventory?
No, as long as an offer is just an offer, it will not affect stock. That is, goods in a quotation are not deducted, or reserved, from the inventory, it only happens when orders are created.
Do quotes need to be submitted before orders can be created?
No, you can choose to accept and create orders from draft quotes without having to send it through customer first.
Do quotes work in conjunction with the procurement module?
Yep! That's part of the magic of Mystore; Modules talk to each other!
To give an example, if you create a quote for out-of-stock items, it won't affect inventory until the quote is accepted and orders are created.
When the quotation is converted to an order, the items that are not in stock are automatically purchased or linked to existing purchases.
When the purchase is received, the order will be updated automatically when it is ready for delivery.
