Intro
As of January 31, 2024, it will be an absolute requirement that all domains must be verified in order to send emails via the control panel. This is a new requirement with our email provider to reduce the amount of spam, and ensure that emails from legitimate senders reach the recipients. In this article, we'll walk you through how to get started with verification.
NOTE!
If the domain is not verified, customers may miss important information from the store, such as order confirmations, order updates, and emails regarding passwords and logins.

How to verify your domain
To verify your domain, you must first receive a digital signature (DKIM and Return-Path) from our domain provider Postmark. The signature can be found in a separate tool in the control panel, and the signature is then entered in the settings of your domain provider. If you are unsure, your domain provider can help you with the setup.
Which domain to use?
The domain to be entered in this tool is the one that will be used for sending emails and does not have to be the same as the address of the online store. If the webshop's address is nettbutikk.mystore.no you can easily enter mystore.no in the tool if you want to send emails from mystore.no. The most important thing is that you have access to enter the information below in the settings of your domain.
In your Mystore control panel
Follow the guide below to retrieve your digital signature from the control panel
Step 1: Navigate to Setup > Email
Here you will find a tool that is directly connected to our domain provider Postmark. The tool allows you to enter the domains to be verified, and provides you with your digital signature (DKIM and Return-Path) which is used by your domain provider for verification.
Step 2: Enter the domain to use for sending emails
Under "Your Domains," tap "Add Domain."
Step 3: Enter the domain to be used for sending emails (e.g. minbutikk.no) and press "Submit"
NB! Do not add www. in front of your domain.
Step 4: Once the domain has been submitted, you will receive your digital signature (DKIM and Return-Path) in return from Postmark.
This information will be used for setup with your domain provider. See below how the information can be copied for the easiest possible setup.
Follow the guide below to set up a digital signature with your domain provider.

Important!
If you need help setting up a TXT record (digital signature) on your domain, your domain provider can help you with this.

Frequently asked questions
1. Who is my domain provider?
Your domain provider is the place where you ordered your domain. If you do not remember where you bought the domain from, you can try to perform a domain search via Norid.
Domain search via Norid (if your domain ends in .no)
Go to Norid's lookup service: https://www.norid.no/no/domeneoppslag/oppslagstjeneste/
Enter your domain name in the field and click Search
You will then get your registrar listed
Domain search via ICANN Lookup
If your domain ends in e.g. .com, .as, .net, you must use ICANN
Go to ICANN's lookup service: https://lookup.icann.org/en
Enter your domain name in the field and click Lookup
Under Contact Information , you can see the name of your domain provider.
I can't find a domain provider in my search
If you cannot find your domain provider in the search, the alternative is to search
separate inbox for e-mail or try to collect invoices from when the domain was ordered and paid.
2. Can you still send from Gmail, Online, Hotmail etc.?
From January 31st, it will no longer be possible to send emails from the control panel via public domains (Gmail, Hotmail, Online, etc.)
To send emails through our system, you must own a domain that can be verified. Contact your domain provider if you need help, or wonder if you can send emails via your domain. The reason for this is that the sender cannot be verified when using public domains.
3. Can you add the same sender address to multiple control panels?
No problem! If you have several stores with us (e.g. dinbutikk.no and dinbutikk.com) and want to use the same e-mail address (e.g. epost@dinbutikk.no) for sending e-mails, follow the guide below.
Enter the domain in the control panel it will be used for sending emails
If the domain has already been verified via another control panel, you will now only receive a DKIM key in return.
Add the DKIM key as a TXT value to your domain provider.
