The Energy Labelling Regulations for Products are regulations that require manufacturers and retailers to provide information about the energy consumption of products that use energy. This is done with the help of an energy label, which is a label that shows the product's energy class. The energy class goes from A (most energy-efficient) to G (least energy-efficient).
The purpose of the Energy Labelling Regulation is to make it easier for consumers to choose energy-efficient products. This helps to reduce energy consumption and thus also greenhouse gas emissions.
The Energy Labelling Regulations apply to a number of products, such as:
Appliances (refrigerators, freezers, washing machines, etc.)
Light bulbs
Electronics (TVs, computers, etc.)
Air conditioning
Heat pumps
