When you're done counting the items, it's time to confirm the count.
After the inventory is finished counting, it's time to update your inventory by confirming the count. Only when a count is confirmed is the inventory updated.
To update the stock with the count count, you need to confirm the count.
This means that inventory is not updated continuously when counting, therefore it is also important to remember to correct the count if you process orders along the way.
To confirm a count, you can either press the "Confirm Count" button in an active inventory count or you can go to "Open Counts" in the side menu. Remember to choose which items you want to confirm first you press "Confirm count".
Selection of goods for verification
Before you can confirm a count, you must choose which items to confirm. It is done in one of the following ways:
- Click the checkbox behind the items you want to confirm
- You will now also get a blue banner that allows you to mark all items on the open page in one click
- Click the top checkbox to select all items on the page that is open
- If you choose to mark all on the open page, the blue banner will change with the option to mark all items across all pages
It is also possible to use filters to find specific items or make a selection that you want to confirm.
When you have selected the items you want to confirm, press "Confirm count" in the upper right corner.
Confirm count
The actual job confirming and updating your inventory happens in the background, but we'll notify you by email when the job is done.
Step 1:
Choose who will be notified by email when the verification is complete. By default, the user who initiates the verification is added, but it is possible here to add more recipients.
You can also choose whether to enable hidden/disabled products that receive positive available inventory as a result of the verification.
Step 2:
When a count is confirmed, you are told that the job has started and that you can safely navigate away from the page.
As long as a job is running in the background, under "Open counts" you will see a banner informing that a count is confirmed, when it was started and who started it.
As long as a job is running in the background, you will be greeted with a banner explaining this and showing who started the job, when it was started, etc.
Step 3:
Completed verification!
When the job is finished, a confirmation is sent to the e-mail recipient(s) added in step 1.
This email also contains info about the number of items, who started the job, as well as a link to the help center and videos for reporting.
It might be good to keep this email, as it acts as a sort of log in to when a count was confirmed and who started the job.
